Our client is looking for a contract Business Analyst to work alongside developers and business users to deliver a backlog for a complex internal application. The aim of this work is to automate critical change and design workflow practices and deliver an improved user experience. The Business Analyst must have experience developing user stories and wireframes / specs for developers to work from. A lean mindset is a must and experience testing applications will be an advantage.

•Good balance of business process and IT systems thinking - Good business process design experience
•Essential: Proven BA experience in projects delivered using Scrum
•Preferred: Experience with UX and an eye for design
•General BA skills & experience
•Process Mapping / Modelling - experienced and skilled at understanding and clarifying complex organisational current state issues, documenting and mapping processes, through to documenting requirements
•Benefits Realisation - Produces high quality work but is delivery focused and always conscious of being pragmatic and delivering value, knows when to work at high level vs detail
•Stakeholder Engagement - adept at bringing stakeholders together, encouraging effective collaboration, can find ways of working with resistant people
•Speaks knowledgably and with credibility, people listen to what they say (confidence without arrogance) – has presence and mana
•Is politically astute
•Requirements Gathering -
•Takes a structured and considered approach to analysis activities – engages the business and stakeholders effectively eliciting requirements
•Can coach and mentor other BAs
•Able to plan and estimate business analysis tasks
•Has a continuous learning mindset, not rigid in thinking – toolbox and methods are always evolving and being added to
•Collaborative by nature but can work with minimal direction
•Proven BA experience in projects delivered with agile methodologies (noting that the delivery method used for projects is assessed on a case by case basis)
